🧁 Mini Almond Tarts (Moroccan Wedding Style)
These elegant mini almond tarts are popular in Moroccan wedding trays — buttery crust with a soft almond cream filling, often glazed for shine.
🥧 Ingredients
For the tart dough (shortcrust):

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cold butter (cubed)

1 teaspoon vanilla

Pinch of salt
🌰 Almond filling:

1 cup finely ground almonds (almond flour)

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup softened butter

1 teaspoon vanilla or orange blossom water

1/2 teaspoon baking powder (optional, for lighter texture)
✨ Decoration (optional):

Whole almonds or sliced almonds

Apricot jam or honey (for glaze)

1️⃣ Make the dough

Mix flour, sugar, and salt.

Rub in cold butter until crumbly.

Add egg and vanilla.

Mix just until dough forms.

Wrap and chill 20–30 minutes.
2️⃣ Prepare almond filling

Mix ground almonds, powdered sugar, butter, egg, and flavoring until smooth cream forms.
3️⃣ Shape the tart shells

Roll dough thin.

Cut circles and place into mini tart molds.

Press gently to fit.
4️⃣ Fill

Spoon almond cream into each shell (about 3/4 full).
